The Ottoman Empire was very welcoming of new people. They had eventually congregated a very smart population for hundreds of years and ruled large portions of the world. They were able to rule large areas as they had the idea of expanding as a clear goal from the beginning. The Ottomans were also not harsh towards the countries they conquered. They conquered countries to grow; they never had the intention to make foreign people their slaves. They were also accepting of many religions and they never forced the people they conquered to be Muslim; although non-Muslims living within the Empire had to pay additional taxes and were denied access to certain activities.
The Ottoman Empire was also very organised. Before the beginning of the Ottoman Empire, there were many powerful Turkish states and empires however, they were not as consistent as the Ottomans and many of the empires weren’t able to expand. It is also believed that the Ottoman Empire expanded quickly because other countries and states were unorganised and they weren’t as strong as the Ottomans. The Ottomans also had an advanced military organization, helping them with the conquering of lands.
